BEETROOT ,HONEY SALAD
(AFRICAN RECIPE)
10 young beetroot
25 ml butter
2 small onions, sliced
6 pickling onions, chopped
15 ml honey
15 ml cake flour
5 ml brown vinegar
5 ml salt ( TO YOUR TASTE)
5 ml chopped fresh marjoram
Lets Prepare Tasty Beetroot, Honey Salad
First, peel and quarter the beetroot. Melt the butter and
sauté the onions for about 5 or 6 minutes until transparent. Then add the
beetroot and simmer for 5 minutes, you can add some if necessary.
Combine the honey,
flour and vinegar . Then add it to the beetroot and onions. Add the salt and
marjoram and simmer, covered, for 20 minutes.
You can enjoy tasty a bit sweet BEETROOT salad as a
vegetable as a salad. Eat it hot then a
vegetable, Eat it cool then a salad.
What is Marjoram--- Marjoram is a cold-sensitive perennial herb or undershrub with sweet pine and citrus flavours. In some Middle Eastern countries, marjoram is synonymous with oregano, and there the names sweet marjoram and knotted marjoram are used to distinguish it from other plants of the genus Origanum:
