             ROTI, SRILANKAN RECIPE,


  

  250g Plain flour

  Scrapped Coconut –Frozen or desiccated.

      3 chopped red onions

     green chillies

     a sprig of chopped curry leaves.

 

 Salt

 Cold Water to mix

 


 

Sift the flour and add the scrapped coconut and salt choped

 onions, green chillies  and curry leaves. Then Mix together

 and make soft dough. Knead until dough forms into a ball

 that will not stick in your hands. Divide the dough into small

 balls. Flatten each ball on a cutting board or on a bench top

 to make thin rounds. Cook in a hot griddle or a frying pan.

 Roast both sides until it turns into golden brown colour.

 Now you can enjoy tasty onion and chillie rotti .
